MegaCon, short for Mega Wicked, is a large convention that includes; comics, anime, horror, scifi events, annual cosplay/ and all-genre costume contests, ultra geek- panels, and electronic raves, so I chased stormtroopers, sold art and had lots fun.

All the children with spooky tricks and lightning treats
Want candy from suburbia hounds and ghoulish housewives for a goblin’s feast
Knock, knock, take all you can with your little black hands
The bony gates open to the loud march bands from the wild crow lands
The last witch wakes counting all the doors as the haunting begins
Before the ghostly dance from forgotten graves speak of the hour at hand..
Myst and rain fall, so FIRE we call
CALLING FIRE! for fire frees all
So tonight, tonight,
The Werewolf seems once again lost deeply in the full moon’s embrace
The vampire cries for all the time the young lovers had waste
The Mummy just crumbles remembering her gaze
On this night, tonight,
Please do not forget, my lost ancient kin
Beneath the silly masks
We were all childhood friends.
Advance: That decade of stony discovery
Angle dip with a smile made from golden appetites
The backfill waste of energy loss
The last of the green eyes with combustible claws hides:
…..in the last of the wilderness
Beneficiation running black diamonds and somber fuel pumps
A franchise made of pure crop coal,
but remember eventually the black suits will fade
Shrubs, timbers, and ferns will rise from concrete wastelands
The conveyors will be solar and the wind will guide them.
Upon that night, when fairies call the light-hearted moon, their mistress dark,
The photos taken withered on the window, clouds perished;
Darkness had no need from all the candy on the coffee table.
Had fun on a dreamy trip to Burning Man, the gathering of giant gorillas, fire music and desert art that collects strange rich kids, neon time travelers and fem fatal tyrannical hippies in a delirious post-apocalyptic Nevada.

The fruition of interstellar travel and planetary colonization is only a few decades away.
I was selected to be part of Beyond the Fiction NASA Social at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md
Composer Michael Giacchino and the National Symphony Orchestra at Wolf Trap were amazing: performing an enigmatic score from Star Trek: Into Darkness live! The discussion before the show was informative and wonderful, all about Star Trek’s influence on the NASA culture, Vulcan misfits, and the space race.
Between all Star Trek realms, we see the same consistency for space fashion, travel design, future exploration, and universal wonder.
In the meantime, human-bound stargazers can follow the stars into the night sky and find these soft-spacy digital images fun to absorb.
Below I have my digital interpretation of the Hubble Space Telescope from the control center and the upcoming secret ICESat-2 spacecraft mission!

June, aged chest in the old firehouse. We wonder!
Among rusty broken walls and a primordial fire extinguisher
Beyond the cracks and venerable tiled matrix
Camera-eyes capture the ghost of the last ladderman
Obsolete doors calling ancient smoke jumpers
Beauty holds no bounds even for the versed
You don’t have to put on that red light
German medusa with the golden hair was smiling
But I was patient and waited:
Harmonica with the skeleton key
Stoutness by my side: unsealed
Adopted a space puppy!
The Plasma Ray Blues
All men do not suffer from the plasma ray blues
In the content of the stars we blend in timeless hues
Even deep cold comets were all made once of colors
Saturation on a saturday seems to be well covered.
Transforming coffee in to poems,
ideas into paintings while melodies become birds.
In the Future, the ocean will move in while streets turn to lakes.
The city will rise.

Ideas for The New Year
“Hold an umbrella in one hand and a surprise in the other!”
Find a new book, make some terrible art work. Get lost in a new city. Explore good magic and keep learning new skills! Write a poem, bake some cookies for a friend. Make a treasure map, and if you find a new key in the clue, make a copy!
Perhaps the most important of all, sing your favorite song, loud and clear and don’t worry so much about the harmony!
The price of fame.
Adrenaline Shot for the Tree of Life!
Had a season pass to Walt Disney World so I photographed a bunch of broken fairytale dreams and sweaty spooky characters walking around at the Magic Kingdom. I love Tokyo Disney, but the old attractions, mad fireworks, musical howling and dark Disney characters made Walt Disney a fun visit. Hot humid fantasy becomes a reality as you get lost and puke from heat exhaustion from the Florida sun burning a hole in your brain. I would recommend tracking down a map and heading towards Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square and my favourite: The Haunted Mansion.
The Ghoulie Bike
Beam the Ghoulie Bike to the surface of the planet. Ride or drift through the Martian desert or an ice moon at the edge of the galaxy overflowing with strange aliens and rogue robots. With air to ground Teleportation ability this motorcycle is a high-speed terrain vehicle that is the perfect mode of planetary travel or intergalactic post-apocalyptic road rage.
I was invited by a friend to attend The Tampa Bay Comic Con hosted by tropical stormtroopers, swamp ghouls, intergalactic zombies, dragon hunters, cosplay mediums and florida mutants.
Met some very nice fiends, creative artists and graphic legends. I sold some artwork and took some photographs with some new friends, but finally made my escape like a ghostly ninja behind a Jimmy Buffett cosplayer, quite spooky.
Welcome, wanderer: My short haunted adventure started when the ghoulish Jessica was kind enough to let me inside. As a child I remembered coming through the same iron gate, but the ghost and her shades had left long ago.
I was late for a gig with some fiends at the The Musical Crypt inside The Haunted Mansion and I guess the zombie horn section had it in for me.
So I jumped in the Doom Buggy for a spooky ride with creepy ghosts and forgotten Halloween spirits.
Found secret passages and watched dancing specters on my way to The Secret Library.
The bride went mad, who knows what heart she broke or left behind for the corporate ladder and the sad reality show playing on a future cable channel.
I believe there are about 999 ghosts and ghouls who always have a great corporate party every night.
Remember: You have all the capacity and endowment to have an impact on your location and atmosphere, but your surroundings don’t really have the potential to influence you.
What am I doing this month?
I am slowly working on being a bit more clever about counting my time as an artistic entrepreneur. Specially if you travel every few months.
Remember social media and marketing take away from the creative act. Focus on the work and hopefully everything else will start coming together. So keep playing music, writing, drawing and stay creative.
Remember: art is fun! VanGoYourself
SpaceX’s Dragon cargo ship returned safely to Earth Sunday afternoon, NASA announced shortly after its arrival in the Pacific Ocean. Dragon touched down packed with more than 3,500 pounds of scientific samples and other cargo from the International Space Station.
Dragon will be retrieved by boats and taken to Los Angeles, California, then eventually to SpaceX’s McGregor, Texas facility. Some of its cargo, including frozen research samples, will be returned to NASA by Tuesday.
“The science samples returned to Earth are critical to improving our knowledge of how space affects humans who live and work there for long durations,” NASA associate administrator for human exploration and operations William Gerstenmaier said in a statement. “Now that Dragon has returned, scientists can complete their analyses, so we can see how results may impact future human space exploration or provide direct benefits to people on Earth.”
The research materials carried by Dragon could…

It was simply my harmonica!
(The atmosphere in Mars is less than 1% of Earth’s, so it is quite hard to play a tune!)
Gaze into nature and the wild will glimpse into you.
The island hidden and hard to reach contains the best treasure.
Perhaps it looks random, but it is all connected at the source.
A solitary bird is surrounded by color.
A few shades of green makes you reach and smile.
Have a great Saint Patrick’s Day.
If you do not find the mellow in the word happy, in the so called present, you might never find it.

Dreams are color lightning, ripened glass and solar storms you should always write down or sketch.

circa 1914 or 2014?
I heard the call from the Burning Man in the strange Nevada desert. I remember the sudden heat, the dry spell and the traffic made of steel carriages marching like a flock of retarded steampunk turtles in to the Black Rock City. Like Mad Max I seem like a dystopian action figure trying to find the path beyond the thirsty cracks.
Through the colorful trip I watched naked girls bathing in small yellow dunes and the gestures of metal skeletons and belly dancers passing by. The need of water was a reminder of my humanity, but I was happy that my black and white striped bicycle made it through the mystical dust storms. Who could forget the initiation in to a wondering cyberpunk clan that found me upside down tuning my guitar and the smell of peyote gears hovering early in the morning as the frantic vivid rainbows drove me deep in to sleep late at night!
The silent alien cargo cult was hidden very well. The mechanical drums blasting from smelly tents made smoke signals in to the night and the neon ropes called the rhythms of forgotten language. On the night of my performance I stepped in to a dream sequence I don’t soundly recall. Out of all the fire balls, the madness and the robotic dances, I thought I saw Sean “Diddy” Combs beyond the baking playa, rising from a golden commercial pyramid with a small army of rappers ready to colonize the desert. It was an interesting dream and it was fun, but once down the desert hole is quite enough!
